Hamburg (June 13, 2022). Remaining a living space and being a traffic space at the same time – this is what the mobility festival HEY/HAMBURG, one of the largest symposia in Europe, is all about. On June 16-17, 2022, some 70 international experts will discuss mobility, how it shapes cities and vice versa. The event at the Hamburg Chamber of Commerce will feature more than 30 presentations, 11 panel discussions, masterclasses, interactive formats and bring together leading minds from business, academia and politics. Attendance is free; a livestream will also be offered.

“I’m a Hamburg resident. One of around 1.8 million citizens here. And because I’m on the way every day, I know the importance of mobility in Hamburg,” says Dr Hans Hamer, CEO of SHIFT Mobility, Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce’s Mobility Working Group and organizer of the festival. “HEY/HAMBURG is a unique conference for the mobile future – a festival for mobility that aims to provide space for ideas, innovation and inspiration.”

Five focal points, countless ideas – one vision

Companies and start-ups discuss trends and projects with representatives from politics and academia, show best-practice examples and present innovative ideas. The topics will be “urban infrastructure & mobility of the future,” “digitalization & networking,” the “switch to renewable energies,” the “transport modes of the future” and the “sustainable transformation of ecosystems.”

Anjes Tjarks (Senator for Transport and Mobility Change) and Tobias Bohnhoff (EU Climate Ambassador) will be part of it.

The event will take place on Thursday, June 16, 2022, from 9:15 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and on Friday, June 17, 2022, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:35 p.m. at the Hamburg Chamber of Commerce. HEY/HAMBURG is an event organized by SHIFT Mobility, supported by the Hamburg Chamber of Commerce. HEY/HAMBURG sees itself as a platform for ideas, inspiration and innovation. The event format took place for the first time in 2021.
