Tesla has increased prices on its Model 3 and Model Y cars again.
This marks the third price hike this year for the vehicles – with the Model 3 now costing a full 20% more than it did in January.
At the beginning of the month, the base Model 3 Standard Range Plus started at $43,990 but has increased to $44,990. Meanwhile, the Long Range AWD and Performance variants have increased from $49,990 to $50,990 and from $57,990 to $58,990, respectively.
At the start of the year, according to Electrek, the Model 3 Standard Range Plus started at just $37,000. However, the base Model 3 now comes with a heated steering wheel and heated rear seats.
The more expensive Model Y has also seen hefty price hikes. The Long Range Dual Motor started the month costing $56,990 and now costs $57,990 while the Performance variant is up $1,000 as well to $62,990.
These price hikes are unlikely to dent buyer interest in Tesla models but do not reflect particularly well on the brand – especially as it is starting to ramp up production for the first time.
