Electric car subscription service Onto has ordered 1,050 Renault Zoe E-Tech models.
The majority of the vehicles will join Onto’s BEV-only fleet of cars in Q4 2021, with the remainder joining in January. This new order means that the Zoe E-Tech models will account for more than a quarter of Onto’s entire fleet.
“The Zoe has proved to be one of the most popular choices for Onto subscribers and we’ve had some very positive feedback on it. Customers say it’s a great all-rounder and praise its value for money, driving experience and brilliant range,” says Rob Jolly, CEO and co-founder of Onto.
“The Zoe E-Tech will continue to play an important role in our product offering as we grown the business,” he continues, “and we hope to continue our partnership with Renault in 2022 and beyond. As we look to the future, we will also be considering other Renault E-Tech models, too.”
With Onto’s scheme, the 245-mile range Zoe E-tech can be had for £389 per month on a month-to-month rolling contract with insurance and even charging covered in the price – as long as you charge at BP Pulse, Shell Recharge and Instavolt charging networks.
According to Onto, this has made their service a hit with millennials, as their customers are typically aged between 25-40 years old.
“It’s fantastic to see Onto underline its confidence in the Zoe E-Tech with such a significant order,” says Vincent Tourette, Renault UK’s MD.
“With it being one of Onto’s most popular cars, it’s destined to introduce thousands more drivers to the many benefits of an electric vehicle at an attractive cost, supporting our own strategy to provide customers with affordable and sustainable mobility that offers a fantastic driving experience. We look forward to working with Onto as the Renault E-Tech range continues to grow ever stronger and are exceptionally pleased that the Zoe E-Tech has played a part in the rapid growth of such a relevant and forward-thinking company.”
