Chinese EV start-up Human Horizons has unveiled a premium all-electric smart brand called HiPhi. It’s also revealed the first production-ready prototype vehicle, HiPhi 1, a supercar-inspired electric SUV which is targeted at the luxury market.

The HiPhi 1 is a highly connected vehicle with more than five hundred sensors. It will also be the first production car with a 5G-V2X enabled communication network.

Human Horizons says the car can evolve with its self-learning algorithms: ‘Through understanding of users’ habits, personalized solutions such as range management can be realized, creating a harmony between users, vehicles and the environment’.

HiPhi 1 will offer L3 autonomous driving at launch.

Mark Stanton, CTO and co-founder Human Horizons, says: “It is a premium super car inspired SUV that is electrically driven and is full of innovative smart features. Our production ready prototype is 95% representative of the final vehicle which will be produced in volume by the end of the first half of 2021.”
