Normally found behind the wheel of his infamous (and extremely loud) Ford Mustang RTR, professional drifter Vaughn Gittin Jr. raced a Lincoln MKZ up the iconic hill climb during this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed. However, this time, without actually being inside it.
Thanks to U.S autonomous start-up Designated Driver and its partnership with Samsung and Vodafone, Vaughn was able to take control of the world’s first 5G and VR remotely controlled car from the comfort of Future Labs, using six screens, a steering wheel and pedals.
